Czech Republic

General Description

The Czech Republic is lovely; quaint villages dot rolling hills and Czech cities boast beautiful European architecture, chic coffee shops, and modern culture. Czechs are innovative, hard-working, appreciate quality play, and highly value relationships. But a relationship with Jesus is not readily claimed; less than 1% of Czechs identify as evangelical believers.

Josiah Venture missionaries partner with Czech churches in strengthening their youth ministries and reaching out to students who have yet to believe in Jesus.

Our interns cooperate with JV missionaries for team-based ministry by engaging with non-believing teenagers at summer camps and by supporting Czech youth leaders who run year-round ministries. We equip our interns to lead and support high-energy camp programs involving music, teaching conversational English, sports, discussion groups, and testimonies. Our JV staff intentionally disciple interns, as interns disciple others. During the internship, interns will share with their team a rich experience of Czech culture: history, people, food, language, and church community.

This is a high-energy ministry that requires a great love for Jesus, the church, and students! If you want to see students have not just a great week at camp but also create lasting connections to Czech Christian community, we’d love to have you join our team for the summer!
