Pavel Pham
Pavel was born in Ostrava and grew up in a nearby city called Havířov. He did not grow up in a Christian family and was a pretty introverted and silent kid. He just had four friends, like brothers, who he had known since being a baby. He first started hearing and talking about God in Fusion Havířov, where he started going in 2014. There, Pavel met many new friends and started being involved in Fusion leadership. Through Fusion, he found God and his church, ESK Havířov, where he was baptized in 2018.
Pavel studied and graduated from the University of Ostrava with a degree in “Business English” and is currently a student of the follow-up masters program—“English for Translation.” Pavel spent a few years working for Fusion as an external worker. He helped launch a few Fusion ministries in Czech and abroad. In addition, he helped with presentations/promotions of outreach programs, training courses, recruitments and launches of said programs. Additionally, he helped guide the teams of freshly launched programs, attending their rehearsals every week, giving feedback, and training them.
At the beginning of 2022, Pavel got involved in KAM’s (Josiah Venture’s partner ministry in the Czech Republic) Quest ministry and joined the national Edge Czech team. He now leads an Edge team in his local church—ESK Havířov. In the second half of 2023, Pavel joined JV (KAM) as an assistant of outreach programs, therefore being involved in Fusion (music), Edge (sports), and Quest (experience-focused, thought-provoking games).
Thanks to an outreach ministry, Pavel went through a great transformation and, as a result, he feels the calling to enable as many other students to experience the same by helping churches launch such programs where students can experience God’s love.
