The first time Bogdan and Martina heard about Josiah Venture (JV), they were praying and looking for a place where they could work and serve God with their gifts. About that time, KAM (JV’s partner organization in the Czech Republic) bought a hotel in the city of Malenovice, near where Bogdan and Martina now live. Shortly thereafter, Bogdan and Martina received an invitation to intern with KAM. As reconstruction began on the old hotel, God began to build a burning desire in their hearts for the young people in their city of Frydlant nad Ostravici; however, there was no protestant church. With a small group of people, Bogdan and Martina helped found a church that continues to grow today. Bogdan and Martina lead a team of people who run youth ministries in their city, who also lead small groups.
Marta graduated from the University of Economics while working, and, after 24 years of working at KAM, she became the manager of the Conference Center Malenovice.
After many years of ministry in Exit Tour with JV, Bogdan began studying at ForMission College in Birmingham. He successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in June 2022.
They are currently running the conference center with the intention of opening up a space for a new concept of volunteer ministry for young people who need a bit of a 'nudge' in their lives to be more independent in spiritual, mental, and practical areas.
