Less than 2% of youth in Central and Eastern Europe are Evangelical believers.
Over the past century, the legacy of regimes in the region has minimized activities of the church. In fact, churches were often subjected to heavy censorship and limitations on Christian gatherings, hindering their ability to operate freely. Moreover, many Christian leaders faced persecution, and theological education was heavily controlled or even banned.
Amidst the shadows of the past, a profound transformation is taking root. Josiah Venture is seeing God move in powerful ways across the region as he is bringing young people to himself. However, there are still many youth who have never heard the gospel and are open to hear about the saving work of Christ. It is our honor and privilege to introduce this new generation to who Jesus is and help them discern God’s calling on their lives.

Reach the next generation for Christ this summer
As you will be on the front lines sharing the gospel with young people and connecting them to the local churches, you will also be able to grow spiritually in many ways.
Within our cross-cultural setting, your journey as an intern becomes a profound catalyst for the growth of your faith. This immersive experience won’t just be a chapter in your life; it will be a cornerstone, shaping your Christian beliefs and values for years to come. This summer your faith will find new depths, anchoring you in a profound sense of God’s purpose and his mission.
As an intern, you will have a pivotal role in bringing the message of Christ to young people across our region. Through your example, you will be able to point youth to God. Your work will impact the local churches in the area and in that way you will help to invigorate the church communities.
Your encouragement becomes the catalyst for many local youth team members and leaders to further invest in their roles, fostering an environment of growth and faith within their community. By serving alongside eachother, you’ll both discover concrete tools to navigate the challenges of discipling young people. As a result, their leadership skills will be honed, their faith will be deepened, and their ability to inspire and nurture the next generation of believers is significantly enhanced.

Whether you prefer to focus on creative arts, sports, music, or English internships, we’re excited to see how God will move through you this summer.
Questions about internships
The internships typically last 10 weeks and encompass cross-cultural training as well as team-building activities. For the extended internships, the length of service is usually about six months.
Once you’re accepted to be an intern with Josiah Venture, our dedicated team will provide you with essential training, coaching, and regular check-ins before your internship starts.
