Marc & Olya Meland

Marc first learned of JV in 2009 when helping out at a summer camp in Slovenia. His heart was immediately drawn to the people in Central and Eastern Europe and how desperately they needed the love of Jesus Christ. After serving in Hungary for four years, God again opened the doors for Marc to serve in the same ways with JV in Ukraine. Olya first became acquainted with JV as a camper at an English camp in 2004 near Rivne, Ukraine. In 2013, Olya took a step of faith by joining JV to help start Fusion in Ukraine. These programs have been extremely effective in equipping local churches to reach young people and to share Jesus with them. 

Marc and Olya met while both were serving in Josiah Venture (JV), Marc for four years in Hungary and Olya in Ukraine. Now they serve together in the city of Lviv, Ukraine with their son Enoch and daughter Eleanor. Marc serves as the interim EDGE Sports director and is the teenage ministry leader in their local church. Olya cares for their two kids at home and is actively doing 1 on 1 discipleship. God has put on their hearts a deep burden for the youth of Ukraine. 

They especially desire to see young people enter healthy local churches through the ministries that God has placed on their hearts. Marc and Olya pray that God will use their family to further the gospel in Ukraine.
