Who cares for the shepherds?

Dear Friends,

Pastors minister the Word of God every week, and faithfully care for the flock, but they need to be encouraged and strengthened as well. That is why our team in Romania organizes a special conference for Pastors every year, through our partner organization called BIG (which in Romanian is an acrostic for ?Local Churches with Global Impact).

This year the topic is ?The Contemporary Pastor? and the speaker is the well known pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago, James McDonald, whose messages are featured on the radio through a program called ?Walk in the Word?. The conference will be held May 22-25 in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, and will draw a total of 330 pastors from at least 7 Evangelical denominations. His teaching will help equip these leaders to be contemporary in the way they reach this generation without compromising the message of the Gospel or the weakening the power of the Word.

Many people don?t realize that the largest concentration of Evangelicals in Europe resides in the country of Romania. Because the health of this church has impact all across the region, investing in Pastors through events like this can have a huge ripple effect for the Kingdom.

As you pray for your JV missionary this month, would you also ask the Lord to bless the BIG team as they lead this event? Pray that God will use this conference to deeply strengthen and encourage every one of the pastors who attend.
